Once upon a time, there was a charming small Dutch barge, 11.90 meters long and 3.10 meters wide, originally built to transport peat, hay, and coal through the canals of the Netherlands at the beginning of the last century. A witness to a bygone era, it carries the authenticity and character of traditional working boats.
Later, its owners, captivated by its potential, decided to transform it into a true liveaboard barge. They added the first enclosed section in the 1960s, paving the way for a comfortable and charming life on the water. Since then, the barge has sailed the rivers and canals of England and Europe, enjoying new adventures at every stop.
In 2014, it underwent a full renovation by the H2O shipyard, restoring its original splendor while modernizing its systems and preserving its historic character. Today, it offers all the charm of a small-scale liveaboard barge, perfect for anyone dreaming of an intimate and friendly life on the water.
Inside, the boat features two welcoming cabins, comfortably accommodating four people with one double bed and two single beds. The engine and hull are robust and reliable, ensuring safe and smooth navigation. Among the recent upgrades are a three-power fridge (gas, 12V, 220V) and a new converter with remote control, providing modern comfort even when cruising independently. Finally, the addition of a foldable ladder makes boarding much easier.
This barge strikes the perfect balance between history, charm, and functionality: a floating cocoon ready to host your life-on-the-water projects, whether for peaceful cruises, family weekends, or extended stays along the canals.
