Formerly used to transport wheat between Reims and Rouen, this Freycinet barge bears witness to a rich river transport history. Converted into a home in the 1980s, it was purchased in 2021 by its current owner, who undertook major renovation work to bring it up to standard and refurbish the interior in 2022.
Three terraces have been created to provide pleasant outdoor spaces, perfect for enjoying sunny days on the water. The interior has been redesigned to offer comfort and modernity while retaining the unique charm of life on board.
The barge also has a large, fully modular 160 m² hold, leaving room for imagination: additional living space, workshop, offices, gym or rental project. The hull is sound and well maintained, ready to accommodate new projects.
This rare property will appeal to lovers of unusual spaces, river heritage and freedom, whether for a primary residence, second home or professional project.
The Union certificate is valid until 2031 for navigation zones 3 and 4.
