The De Hoop shipyard in the Netherlands built this 21.50-metre barge in 1953 as a supply vessel. It was then completely converted between 2008 and 2012 into a comfortable, functional and perfectly seaworthy pleasure barge.
Designed down to the smallest detail to offer a pleasant and self-sufficient life on board, it can accommodate six people, while guaranteeing autonomy for around ten days.
In addition, the 14 m² panoramic wheelhouse, fully glazed and air-conditioned, serves as both a cockpit and a convivial living space. The equipment includes double-glazed safety sunshades that can be removed or lowered.
The interior layout includes:
– an aft cabin with double bed, shower and WC;
– a forward cabin with double bed, bathroom with bath and WC;
– a central cabin with two bunk beds;
– an office with a pull-out bed (1 or 2 berths);
– a saloon equipped with a sofa bed.
This 21.50-metre barge also features an ingenious system of turnstiles, ramps and winches. Thanks to this equipment, it is possible to load or unload a Twingo-type car (900 kg) from a quay.
Finally, fully equipped for navigation and life on board, it offers the comfort and solidity necessary to serve both as a floating primary residence and as an ideal base for new river adventures across Europe. In addition, its EU certificate is valid until 2029 and an expert inspected the hull in 2024.
