Built by the De Hoop shipyard in the Netherlands in 1953, this 21.50-metre barge was originally designed as a supply vessel. It was then completely converted between 2008 and 2012 into a comfortable, functional and fully navigable liveaboard barge.
Carefully designed to provide a pleasant and self-sufficient life on board, it can comfortably accommodate up to six people, with an autonomy of around ten days.
Moreover, the 14 m² panoramic wheelhouse, fully glazed and air-conditioned, serves both as a pilothouse and as a bright, friendly living area. It offers a 360° view, perfect for moments of relaxation and conviviality. The wheelhouse is fitted with double-glazed, sun-protective safety glass and can be dismantled or lowered when needed. (However, its height remains too great to pass under the bridges of the Canal du Midi and the Canal du Nivernais.)
As for the interior layout, it includes:
– an aft cabin with double bed, shower and toilet;
– a forward cabin with double bed, bathroom with bathtub and toilet;
– a central cabin with two bunk beds;
– an office with a pull-out bed (for one or two people);
– and a saloon with a sofa bed.
This 21.50-metre barge also stands out for its ingenious system of turntable, ramps and winch, allowing a small car such as a Twingo (900 kg) to be loaded or unloaded from a quay, manually and quickly, by just one or two people.
Finally, fully equipped for navigation and life on board, it offers the comfort and robustness required to serve either as a permanent floating home or as the perfect base for new cruising adventures across Europe. In addition, its Community Certificate is valid until 2029, and the hull was last surveyed in 2024.
