This 38-meter Freycinet barge is not just a boat. On the contrary, it is a living story that has been sailing for nearly seventy years—a tale woven from water, hard work, encounters, and transformation.
Built in 1956, this commercial barge spent over fifty years navigating the rivers and canals of Belgium and France, transporting goods along the waterways.
Then, in 2008, the boat was given a second life. After an extensive transformation, it became a unique space—both residential and event-oriented—adaptable to every need. Today, it is a warm, inspiring place, ready to welcome new experiences.
Its greatest strength lies in its versatility: it can become a primary residence, a floating guesthouse, a professional meeting space, or a cultural or event venue.
Moreover, its large, modular central area can shift from a private dinner to a conference, from a concert to a workshop, in just moments.
It is complemented by a fully equipped kitchen, four double cabins, functional bathrooms, a pilothouse, and crew quarters—forming a fluid and harmonious whole.
From a technical perspective, the barge is fully autonomous: 8,000-liter water tanks, a generator, central oil heating, a Victron 3000W inverter, 220V outlets, hot water, a dual electrical circuit, and battery systems.
In other words, it’s ready for life on board—or for several days of navigation—without any need for shore connections.
It is also a professional tool, fully equipped and ready to use, sold with everything needed to immediately resume activity: dishes, bedding, furniture, projector, screen, and outdoor canopy.
Over the years, it has traveled thousands of kilometers, reaching as far as the Danube Delta—proof of its reliability.
Today, this 38-meter Freycinet barge is ready to begin a new chapter.
