Built in the Netherlands around a century ago as a merchant ship, this Luxemotor now embodies a rare combination of authentic maritime heritage and contemporary comfort. Carefully converted into a houseboat in the 1960s, it has undergone continuous improvements during its voyages along the waterways of France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland between 2001 and 2025.
This Luxemotor has a minimal draught, allowing it to access a vast network of waterways, while the cockpit offers good visibility, ensuring rare navigational comfort and safety, with very few blind spots.
The interior layout prioritises space and fluidity, making full use of the boat’s width to create an open and harmonious atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen blends in with the rest of the interior and is practical and user-friendly. The boat has two separate cabins, each with a double bed, offering comfortable accommodation for the owners and their guests. A functional bathroom and two WCs complete the package.
The on-board crane, which can be used on either the port or starboard side, enhances the vessel’s autonomy and versatility, while the gangways and numerous items of equipment included make everyday life on board and port operations easier.
This Luxemotor represents a rare opportunity to acquire a historic houseboat that is fully seaworthy, combining character, functionality and independence, ideal both for a river residence project and for long journeys across European waterways. This boat can navigate in zones 3 and 4.
Mooring spaces are available in our ports in Saint-Jean-de-Losne and Auxonne (21). We can also assist you with financing to help make your project a reality.
