This 25.05 m by 4.12 m luxemotor was built in 1926 in Hardinxveld, in the Netherlands, a shipbuilding town on the Merwede. A luxemotor, a type of motorised cargo barge, with a steel hull, she has been converted for living aboard and cruises inland waterways with a draught of 1.00 m.
The layout offers plenty of space and light. The wheelhouse, with large windows all round, houses the helm with its steering wheel. The spacious, wood-panelled saloon leads on to the dining area and a long galley fitted with gas and ceramic hobs, a 220V oven, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher. There are four cabins with two double beds and three single beds, sleeping seven, a shower room and an electric toilet. The flat, uncluttered roof makes a large terrace.
Her current owner has carried out a thorough refit: full treatment of the underwater hull, with a hull survey and painting below the waterline in 2021, repainting of most of the superstructure, complete rewiring of the 24V and 220V circuits and of the fresh and grey water systems, fitting out and painting of the cabins, reversible air conditioning, navigation equipment brought up to standard (AIS, VHF, navigation lights), fire extinguishers, and a new fuel tank with a simplified fuel supply. He describes her as bright, very liveable and comfortable, including in terms of temperature.
She is powered by a 169 hp DAF engine with keel cooling, a dry exhaust and a four-blade propeller on a shaft. The electrical equipment is by Victron (24V/220V inverter-charger and isolation transformer). The tanks hold 214 litres of diesel, 6,000 litres of fresh water in a stainless steel tank and 200 litres of black water, with a pump-out. She has a mast, a dinghy and a manual windlass. The original Webasto heater, still in place, does not work, nor do the old intercom and what remains of the old 220V circuit.
She is French-flagged, VAT paid; her Union certificate is being renewed. The terrace furniture is not included in the sale.
