This 11.80-metre steel inland cruiser is a Sport Boat 1150 XL, built in 2007 by the Dutch yard Babro Yachting. Four metres of beam, 1.10 m draft and 2.65 m air draft: she goes anywhere, and for her size offers a living volume that few 12-metre boats can match. Her 5 mm steel hull has only ever been used in fresh water. Design category C.
The interior is the boat’s strong point: teak woodwork and teak flooring, Alcantara finishes, and a saloon full of light. The galley is fully equipped — gas hob and oven, 220 V grill, extractor hood, dishwasher, two fridges and two freezers — and there is also a washing machine and a tumble dryer on board. Forward, a cabin with two single berths in a V; aft, a large cabin with a double bed. A shower, a separate electric WC and pressurised water. 1.95 m headroom.
She is made for living aboard all year round: central heating comes from a diesel boiler and six radiators, which also supplies the hot water, with two electric heaters as back-up. The electrical installation is comfortable — Victron 12 V / 2,000 W inverter, isolation transformer, ten 220 V sockets — and the saloon has two televisions on an automatic satellite antenna, with a radio that also plays on deck.
The aft terrace, with teak decking, is spacious and sheltered by a bimini; the outside steering position is protected by a canopy. A bathing platform and ladder give access to the water.
Power comes from a 140 hp Vetus with shaft drive and wet exhaust, backed by both a bow thruster and a stern thruster: coming alongside single-handed is effortless. Cruising at 6 km/h, top speed 18 km/h, for a consumption of about 5 litres an hour. Electric windlass with 15 metres of chain. Tanks: 850 litres of diesel and 2 × 250 litres of drinking water. Navigation: GPS, echo sounder, speedometer and VHF.
The boat has been looked after in the yard on a continuous basis in recent years: antifouling and anodes, hull touch-ups, canopy and windows renewed, cover for the outside steering position, winter cover frame and canvas, woodwork of the outside dashboard, chain locker, new gas oven. Gas installation compliance certificate and navigation certificate from 2023, out-of-water inspection and fire extinguisher check in 2024.
