This Boarncruiser 40 Classic Line was built in 2003 by Jachtwerf De Boarnstream, a family yard founded in 1964 in Irnsum, Friesland, which has since delivered more than 1,200 steel motor yachts. The Classic Line takes up the lines of the traditional Dutch motor yacht: a pronounced bow, a sweeping sheer and a rope fender strake.
At 12.40 m long and 4.35 m wide, she is CE category B certified, for the sea as well as for inland waters. Her multi-chine steel hull with a long keel carries a polyester superstructure, like the other 40 Classic Line yachts from the yard. The decks are laid with teak throughout.
Outside, the aft wheelhouse, enclosed by a canopy, makes a second living space: a helm with two pilot seats, a bench seat and a large wooden table. A bathing platform and ladder, a deck shower, davits, an electric windlass, an opening roof and a full winter cover complete the deck.
The interior is panelled in varnished wood throughout. The saloon, with its U-shaped bench seat and table, houses the second helm, with a wheel; a few steps lead down to the dinette and the L-shaped galley, fitted with gas and induction hobs, a 220V oven, a microwave, an extractor hood and a 12V fridge. The saloon and the dinette convert into berths. There are two cabins: aft, a cabin with a central double bed and plenty of storage; forward, a V-berth cabin. Two electric toilets, a separate shower cubicle, a washing machine and a tumble dryer complete the accommodation, with 1.95 m of headroom.
The boat is equipped for living aboard all year round: heating by a diesel-fired boiler, a portable reversible air conditioner, a 6.5 kW silent Fischer Panda generator and Mastervolt equipment (charger, inverter and isolation transformer). Some of the windows are double-glazed, with anti-UV film and mosquito screens. She has an automatic satellite antenna and a surveillance camera. The tanks hold 800 litres of diesel, 600 litres of drinking water and 200 litres of black water, with a pump-out.
She is powered by a 135 hp (99 kW) Perkins M135 engine with about 3,500 hours. The two helms, with hydraulic steering, are linked by an intercom; the Vetus bow and stern thrusters make manoeuvring in harbours and locks easier. The electronics include GPS, a chart plotter, radar, autopilot, AIS, VHF and a depth sounder.
The last hull survey and the repainting below the waterline date from September 2026, the last engine oil change from April 2026; the service batteries and the engine battery were replaced in 2026. VAT paid; she is registered under the name “Boarncruiser 41 Classic Line”.
